Fake Notes Being Sold on Instagram in the Name of “Second Currency” – Exclusive Report by Manish Kumar Ankur

Manish Kumar Ankur New Delhi, 16 September 2025: A dangerous scam is spreading rapidly on social media platforms, especially Instagram. Fake currency notes are being sold openly under the name “Second Currency”, misleading users with false promises. These fake notes in denominations of ₹100, ₹200, and ₹500 are being promoted through videos and reels, claiming they are a new type of currency that can be used anywhere.

The scam is not limited to Instagram alone – similar videos are being shared widely on Telegram and Facebook, where users are encouraged to invest ₹1,000 and receive ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 in return. These fake notes are being advertised as if they can be deposited in ATMs and used in transactions across the country. However, this is far from the truth.

Prime Minister Modi’s Policies Being Mocked

The videos also mock PM Narendra Modi’s economic reforms, claiming that “Second Currency” is a secret initiative by the government. This misinformation not only spreads chaos but also undermines trust in the financial system.

Why You Must Stay Alert

Experts and law enforcement agencies have warned that these fake notes are illegal and unusable. Anyone trying to circulate them can face strict legal action, including arrest and imprisonment.

Police officials advise:

“Do not fall for such scams out of greed. There is no such thing as Second Currency. Stay alert and report suspicious activities immediately.”

How to Protect Yourself and Others

With such fake content going viral, it is essential to stay informed and cautious. Sharing verified information and reporting fraud can help prevent others from becoming victims.

What You Should Do:
✔ Avoid trusting or investing in suspicious offers
✔ Don’t get trapped by fake promises of quick money
✔ Report scam videos to the platform
✔ Share awareness to protect your family and friends

Stay Safe, Stay Responsible

This scam is an example of how misinformation can harm individuals and the economy alike. By staying aware, you can help stop fraudsters and protect others from falling into their trap.
