Chandrashekhar Bawankule’s Strong Reply to Rahul Gandhi on Voter List Issue

Nagpur News | Khabar 24 Express : Maharashtra Revenue Minister and Guardian Minister of Nagpur-Amravati, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, has given a strong counter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over allegations of voter list manipulation. Bawankule firmly stated that the upcoming local body elections will be conducted on the basis of the Assembly election voter list, which is already transparent and verified.

Bawankule challenged the Congress party to approach the Election Commission if they have objections instead of raising baseless allegations after the results. He reminded that the voter lists were published during the Assembly elections and displayed at over 1 lakh polling booths across the state. At that time, no Congress leader raised any objection.

Highlighting the inconsistency, Bawankule said,

“When Congress won 32 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, they had no complaints. But whenever BJP registers victory, Congress starts questioning the system.”

BJP’s Public Welfare Schemes Strengthened Voter Support

According to Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the BJP’s victory is not because of any manipulation but due to pro-people policies such as:

• Ladli Bahna Yojana benefitting women.
• Farmers’ electricity bill waiver providing huge relief to cultivators.

He emphasized that these schemes earned BJP the trust of the people.

Voter Growth in Kamthi Constituency

In Kamthi Assembly constituency alone, 17,000 booths were set up, and through new registrations, 34,000 voters were added. This growth in voter numbers, Bawankule said, is a reflection of increased participation, not manipulation.

Final Counter to Congress

Bawankule said that raising objections seven months after the elections shows Congress’s desperation and political frustration. “The voter list is a transparent process, and objections should be filed within the given timeframe. Rahul Gandhi is misleading people with false claims,” he said.
