Katie Price due to appear in court next week over drink-driving charge

Katie Price is set to appear in court next week after crashing her pink Range Rover in London on October 10.

It was confirmed by the Metropolitan Police that the mother-of-five, 40, was charged by postal requisition in December and would appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 January.

A spokesperson said: ‘Police in Greenwich have charged a woman with being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle.’

Katie was arrested in the early hours of the morning three months ago after turning up uninvited to her on-off boyfriend Kris Boyson’s 30th birthday party.

The former glamour model was released by police pending further investigation on October 10 after she was arrested for drink-driving after turning up uninvited to her on-off boyfriend’s birthday party.

It is thought the former glamour model was taken out through a back exit of Plumstead police station, before returning to her Sussex home with her now ex-boyfriend Alex Adderson.

The mother-of-five crashed her distinctive pink Range Rover in south-east London in the early hours after turning up uninvited to Kris’ birthday party.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told MailOnline at the time: ‘At approximately 02:00hrs on Wednesday, October 10, British Transport Police officers came across a car showing signs of damage stationary at the roadside in Shooters Hill Road, Woolwich. She has been released under investigation.

‘A 40-year-old woman who was inside the car was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She was taken to a south London police station where she remains.

‘Officers from the Metropolitan Police investigate. Enquiries continue. A breath test was administered – we do not discuss results.’
