Chandrashekhar Bawankule Warns Officials: “One Wrong Signature Can Destroy a Family”

Maharashtra News | Chandrashekhar Bawankule Exclusive | Bureau Report Khabar 24 Express

Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has made a strong statement against negligence in government offices, saying that “one wrong signature by an official can destroy an entire family.” His remarks, made during a government event in Mumbai, are now being widely discussed across Maharashtra.

The statement came during the “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Camp Campaign” organized at Shahaji Raje Bhosale Sports Complex in Andheri, Mumbai. Several Maharashtra government schemes were showcased during the event, but the biggest highlight was Bawankule’s direct warning to officials regarding public service and revenue-related decisions.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule Expresses Anger Over Public Harassment

Speaking at the event, Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that it is painful when common citizens are forced to suffer because of careless government procedures. He stated that a single wrong signature in revenue matters can ruin a family’s life and push innocent people into mental stress and legal trouble.

The Maharashtra minister made it clear that such negligence will no longer be tolerated. He instructed officials to prioritize public work and ensure that citizens are not forced to make repeated visits to government offices.

Big Announcement for Mumbai Property Owners

During the same program, Bawankule also announced a major plan for Mumbai residents. He revealed that the Maharashtra government is working on a system similar to Pune’s property card model, where every household in Mumbai could receive a property card.

According to him, the government is preparing to introduce a new “Land Titling” law that will digitally secure land and property ownership records. The move is expected to increase transparency and reduce property-related fraud cases in Maharashtra.

He added that once the new system is implemented, illegal occupation of properties and manipulation of land records will become much more difficult.

Maharashtra Government Planning Major Revenue Reforms

Chandrashekhar Bawankule also spoke about reforms introduced under the Devendra Fadnavis government. He mentioned that after the implementation of the fragmentation law reforms, property registration has become easier for citizens.

Earlier, homeowners had to wait 10 years before selling their houses, but now the restriction has reportedly been reduced to 5 years. He also said that poor families would be able to regularize their homes by paying only a 5 percent fee.

Strict Warning Against Encroachment on Government Land

The Revenue Minister further warned officials against allowing illegal occupation of government land. He said government property must remain protected at all costs and any officer found negligent in such matters would face strict action.

Bawankule’s sharp remarks have now triggered discussions about whether the Maharashtra government is preparing for a major administrative overhaul. Many people are also questioning whether these announcements will finally bring relief to citizens facing difficulties in revenue and property-related work.
